Memory & Tile Cache

FetchMap caches in memory tiles which have recently been downloaded. This is especially useful if you return to a recent viewpoint, in which case the tiles are loaded from memory and not from the Internet.

Viewing & Managing Memory Use

To view and manage memory use, click on the Customize button on the Control Panel. Then select the Save ... & Tile Cache tab. From here to can:

• View Memory Used:

• View Tiles in Cache:

• Edit Size of Tiles in Cache: Note: you can only increase the amount of memory used.

  You may need to increase this if you have a large view and are creating a map with a high density and/or many transparency layers. In that case you will be asked if you would like to increase you memory size.

• Refresh: This flushes all the tiles from the cache and reloads the tiles for the present map window view.
